Hippy New Year
I always place the largest amount of expectations on my favorite holidays. Holidays, to me, are the highlights of the year. When I look back to 2010, I review it based on what I did on each holiday. There is a slight problem, though. Because I place so much importance on them, I want them to be perfect, and I always end up disappointed. It seems the more important the holiday, the higher my expectations, and the worse it is. I have really been trying to work on this. New Years Eve is my #2 favorite holiday of the year (#1 is the 4th of July), yet year after year it has gone for bad to worse. So, my resolution for this New Years Eve is to have no expectations whatsoever, so that I am not disappointed. Instead of holding expectations for New Years Eve, I am going to celebrate my accomplishments this year and look forward to the exciting year ahead of me.

I have the same problem regarding major events in my life. It's good to have no expectations whatsoever. You're gonna save yourself a lot of disappointment. I'm really looking forward to New Years Eve, so I can make a fresh start in 2011 ;).

I really love all these photos. Your blog is becoming a fast favorite hun! Actually, the past few years I've had good NYEs. Last year I was pregnant so I couldn't drink or do any partying but me and my boyfriend spent the night drinking sparkling cider and enjoying each other's company. This year I plan to be a tad bit more crazy lol. Not TOO much. But I hope your holiday turns out great!
