Miniature Australia.

Before
After
One of my favorite features on my Canon SX30IS is probably one of its most simple features: Miniaturization Mode.
Tilt-shift photography pulls your attention to the focus and perspective, while enhancing the colors to give it toy-like quality.  It's a simulation of the depth-of-field you see in Macro photos and plays with the saturation of the colors. I almost over-use it because I like it so much, and I had to force myself to not use it all the time. I think it just makes everything more interesting!

So, here are some miniature photos from my trip to Australia. Enjoy!

I had some friends over for a barbie/pool party at my place today to celebrate the sunny weather.
Downtown San Diego for a Girls Night Out w/ Jess.
Just one of my 3 cup-of-Joe's to get me through the early mornings.
Celebrating not having to work at Yogen Fruz by eating... Yogen Fruz!

La Jolla Sunset.
Free concert/conference with Joyce Meyer, one of my fav motivational speakers.
I love this dancing game, but the best part was watching the boys dance to Britney.
We could see the field from the boys' apartment downtown. Go Padres!

Must Dash.

I am having a hard time finding time to do things other than walk the dog, work, walk the dog, church, sleep, rinse & repeat.  I can't find enough hours in the day to do everything I want and need to do.  Fallen on the short list at the onset of my job this week are exercise, blogging, keeping up with the Kardashians, cleaning the apartment, baking, texting people back, exploring San Diego, etc...  Before Australia, I used to post to this blog every day without fail, work 50-60 hours a week at 2 jobs, manage full time school with strait A's, hang out with friends all weekend, and workout every single day.  I don't understand how I did that, but I want to do it again!  I am loving being busy.  I actually thrive on it, but I want to balance my life out a bit more.  I know it's just the first week and I'll get there. So bear with me, and throw any tips my way!

Feel Professional.

I got a job in San Diego and today is my first day!  The first thing I did when I knew I got the job was, of course, go shopping!  It is my first 9-5 job, and I am so excited.  Here's just a sneek-peek of what I got!  If you'd like to see my inspiration for my new business wardrobe, you can check out my "Feel Professional" Pinboard. With the spring blossoms, I love this feeling of new beginnings here in Cali.
