So, I am always afraid to cook in new countries because you have to convert recipes and temperatures and moisture levels, but I risked it for my poor deprived Aussie friends that have never heard of Snickerdoodles or sugar cookies for that matter. They turned out fluffier than back home and more cake like. I used the Betty Crocker recipe for these ones and skipped the lard. When I told my friends that they burst out laughing at the word lard for like 10 minutes, as they did when I asked them if they had ever had Snickerdoodles. Baking some more tonight- the demand is high for these yummy cookies here.
