Letter of Love.

Dear 2011,

You changed my life. It has been the best year of my life so far. Just a few of my countless memories of my year in OZ:

Swam with sting rays

Held a python

Drank out of a coconut

Jumped off a cliff
Fell in love with Scottish accents

Tried vegemite

Got shat on by a bat

Survived an 8 hour Cricket game

Gambled for the first time

Became homeless

Jumped off a bridge

Became a beach bum

Skydiving on the beach

Fried eggs on toast

Fed piranhas

Ate seafood for the first time

Fell in love with the ocean all over again

Time warped for me and I’m glad. A year was not a year, but a lifetime worth of change.  I grew, I digressed, I hurt, I laughed, but most of all I learned. I learned to love myself for the first time in my life.  I learned how to live on my own and not depend on anyone or anything.  I stripped my life down to the bare essentials and not only survived but thrived.  The possessions will come and go, but the people I have met and the memories we shared will forever stay with me. 2012, I have high hopes for you. I promise not to compare you to 2011, but rather learn and grow in the new amazing ways you have prepared for me.  Keep positivity a priority every day, and renew my mind when negative thoughts invade.  Most of all, I promise to keep love first in my thoughts.  Loving life, no matter where I am, who I'm with, or what I'm doing.  Loving every piece of every day, I know that no matter where I end up, I will be living life fully.
